Forge Creek Lamb is a family owned and operated business run by Neil and Angela Stringer.  Neil and Angela farm in partnership with Neil’s father, on a third generation family farm on the edge of the Gippsland Lakes in Eastern Victoria. 

The original property ‘Orana’, aboriginal for welcome, was purchased by Neil’s grandfather in 1950 as a condemned, rabbit infested and run down farm. 

Through droughts and flooding rains, bushfires, births, deaths and marriages, passion and hard work, Orana produces fine merino wool and fine prime lamb.

Our passion includes endeavouring to ‘tread carefully’, minimising our impact on the natural environment, whilst producing a quality product as viable primary producing business.

We aim to farm with our natural environment by protecting our remnant vegetation.  This includes encouraging natural regrowth and managing our riparian areas to minimise nutrient discharge into the Gippsland Lakes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Forge Creek Lambs are processed and packaged by Riviera Meats in Paynesville – a family owned and operated business.  Rod and the team cut, trim and vacuum package orders to your requirements.  All orders are for pick up only, from Riviera Meats, The Esplanade Paynesville.
